Students begin Aerial Perspective

Students learn concepts surrounding aerial perspective and terminology including "Horizon Line". In order to produce illusion of depth students should show a reduction in size of objects that are further away, a light color for objects further away, and objects in the distance should be placed closer to the horizon line.

Students will create landscapes from imagery based on these details.

Textural Drawing

Students are working on learning to see and draw the texture of objects as opposed to just using the same line to represent a pine cone, a silk clothe and a fuzzy teddy bear. Students will work from a still life, laying out the image in pencil, students will then retrace these lines in sharpie to emphasis the linear quality, and erase pencil marks.
